positive talking about teammates and to approach everything

MILWAUKEE - The decision has apparently become a little easier for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA draft. Chris Carter Jersey . New team co-owner Marc Lasry indicated Monday that it is down to either Dukes Jabari Parker or Kansas Andrew Wiggins when the Bucks make the second overall selection in the draft Thursday night. Foot surgery for centre prospect Joel Embiid last week seems to have knocked Wiggins teammate with the Jayhawks out of the Bucks plans. With new ownership taking over a franchise that had a league-worst 15-67 record, Milwaukee is looking for immediate help. "I think its hard to take Embiid," Lasry said Monday at a joint breakfast meeting of the regions Rotary Club and the Milwaukee Press Club. "I think hes a phenomenal individual, but with the injury and not knowing how severe or long it will take to recover, I think for us today were going to want somebody whos going to help us on Day One." New York investment firm executives Lasry and Wesley Edens bought the Bucks this spring for $550 million from former U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl. According to Lasry, Edens watched Wiggins work out recently. If they need a reference on Parker, the Bucks can just go across town to talk with new Marquette coach Steve Wojciechowski, who worked with Parker when he was a Blue Devils assistant. "A lot is going to be dependent on what Cleveland does," Lasry said. "But I would tell you right now its probably either going to be ... one of the other." This will be a pivotal pick for a franchise in transition. Lasry envisions building a championship-contending team within five years. At the same time, the new ownership group could also be seeking public financing to help build a new arena to replace the BMO Harris Bradley Center, though its unclear yet how much funding they might seek. The new owners have estimated that it could take $350-$400 million for a new arena. Lasry and Edens have committed $100 million, and Kohl has committed another $100 million. Lasry said Monday he hoped to find other people to help come up with the difference and would welcome public support. New potential minority investors in the Bucks could also be announced by July 15. Lasry said he hoped to add local partners. Lasry spoke of building a foundation of young players over the next two or three seasons that would help attract free agents. Among the more promising current young Bucks are guards Brandon Knight (17.9 points) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (6.8 points), and power forward John Henson (11.1 points, 7.1 rebounds). "Nobodys coming to Milwaukee if the team does what it did last year," said Lasry, who added that the payroll would increase. Lasry also said that the team would soon announce the hiring of a chief financial officer, and would be hiring a team president. Lou Gehrig Jersey . Josh Mazzola drove in five runs to lead the Goldeyes (20-12) past the Capitales 11-5 Friday night at Le Stade Municipal in Quebec City. Dellin Betances Jersey . The Canadians led for much of the game before Argentina forced overtime in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter. Canada weathered the storm after squandering a lead with a series of made shots. "Its a fantastic win for our country with 11 first-time Canadian national team members," said head coach Roy Rana. http://www.yankeesauthorityshop.com/Alex-Rodriguez-Jersey/ . - While he appreciates suggestions from Packers fans of remedies for his sore left calf, Aaron Rodgers is not necessarily going to listen to the advice.EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Tom Coughlin is refusing to discuss his future as the coach of the New York Giants after a seventh straight loss that he acknowledges has made him feel miserable. The 68-year-old said the skid has not in the least taken away his belief that he can lead the team, although he refused to say whether he would return if the Giants told him they wanted him to return for the final year of his contract.Dont start that stuff, said Coughlin, who led the Giants to Super Bowls victories after the 2007 and 11 seasons.I am not interested ... this thing is not about me. I am not interested in discussing my circumstances whatsoever. I am not worried or concerned. I am worried about my team as I said. The season may have hit rock bottom on Sunday when the Giants (3-9) blew a 21-point lead against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) and dropped a 25-24 decision.New York had two fumbles returned for second-half touchdowns and saw the defence give up a late score for the second week in a row. With four games left in the regular season, the Giants are assured of their second straight losing season and third year in a row out of the playoffs.Coughlin said he has never experienced a run like this in his career. The past three games have been very frustrating. The Giants have been in position to beat San Francisco, Dallas and Jacksonville and failed to make the plays with the game on the line. Its been a common thread in this season marked by injuries. In meeting with his players Monday, Coughlin told them to worry more about themselves than him.As far as his critics, the long-time coach is ignoring them.I try to pay attention and do the job to best of my ability and my concern is with my coaches and my team, Coughlin said. Our organization, everybody in the Giants organization, lives and dies with how this football team does. I understand that completely and the responsibility that I have my coaches and players and to our owners, we are going to work our every-lovinng (butts) off to try to find a way to win a game. Joe Girardi Jersey. Thats all at this point in time that we can do.Quarterback Eli Manning, who lost one of the fumbles Sunday that was either recovered or returned for a touchdown, said Coughlin is not to blame for the Giants woes. He said the team is still playing hard and has been close to winning. Its not his fault that we dont finish games, Manning said. The Giants will try to end their misery on Sunday when they travel to Tennessee to play the Titans (2-10), the losers of six in a row.Coughlin said the team needs to stick together. We are being tested, perhaps, like we have never been tested before, Coughlin said. I have some young guys in the room that have never been through anything like I am sure. I referred to them and I referred to the old guy standing in the front of the room talking who has never been through anything like this.Coughlins advice was to stand tall, to be positive talking about teammates and to approach everything with character and integrity. When asked how the losing made him feel, Coughlin was blunt about the skid that is the Giants longest since losing eight straight in 2004, Coughlins first year as coach of the team.Miserable, he said. What else can I say, but I am not going to let it get me down. The 3-9 record is the Giants worst after 12 games since 1995, when they had the same mark.Linebacker Jameel McClain said its frustrating to be in position to win and not do it.Whether were up by 21 or down by 21, I still want to finish it all strong if thats even possible for you all to believe, he said. We just havent finished, so that is frustrating, not finishing.NOTES: Coughlin had no updates on injuries to OT Geoff Schwartz (ankle), OT James Brewer (concussion) and RB Rashad Jennings (ankle) and DE Robert Ayers (pectoral). ... OT Justin Pugh (quad) is expected to return this week after missing two weeks with his injury.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict sat out a day

Graeme Souness has hailed Rangers manager Mark Warburton for the job he has done in helping the club gain promotion to the Scottish Premiership. Jimmie Foxx Jersey . The Englishman inherited a demoralised squad after Rangers promotion bid crumbled 12 months ago but he has quickly turned the clubs fortunes around and helped them clinch the Championship crown last week. The Gers won the Petrofac Training Cup on Sunday and head into this weekends William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic on a high - a game you can watch live on Sky Sports 2 HD from 11.00am on Sunday. Souness is credited with revitalising Rangers when he took over as player/manager in 1986.The former Liverpool midfielder helped attract big-name signings from England such as Terry Butcher, Graham Roberts and Chris Woods, and laid the foundations for the nine successive titles they won from 1989.However, the landscape of Scottish football is much changed in the years since and Souness believes his challenge was much easier than the one which greeted Warburton when he arrived last summer. Rangers players celebrate beating Peterhead at Hampden Souness said: Hes had a far more difficult job than I had. There were so many things that worked in our favour at the time, such as the problems English football had.We could match any one of the English team for their spending power. English teams were banned from Europe, so we had lots of things going for us. That job was a lot easier for me that it was for Mark taking over at Rangers this time.I think he deserves a great deal of credit. I dont know the guy but I sat next to him at Wembley for the Norwich-Middlesbrough play-off game. I spent maybe 10 minutes talking to him but found him to be a very impressive, calm, nice human being. Hes done a great job. Celtic manager Ronny Deila Sundays clash with Celtic at Hampden marks Warburtons first taste of a Glasgow derby but he has been keen to play down the games significance in the build-up.When told Warburton referred to Sundays game as just another match, Souness said: Really? Well it certainly isnt. Its the biggest derby Ive been involved in.The Liverpool-Everton one is a friendly derby. The Galatasaray one with Fenerbahce is a big game but it still doesnt come near this one. Leigh Griffiths scores in Celtics previous meeting with Rangers last season Nothing prepared me for the passion and the enormity of this job. A lot of the enormity is in your own mind because you feed off the passion your supporters have for your football club. You absorb that and start to feel guilty when youve not done the best for them.So Mark must feel that. Hes been here long enough to realise what these two clubs mean to their supporters. Its greater here than anywhere else. And thats why its not just another derby.Celtic are currently eight points clear at the summit of the Scottish Premiership and on course to clinch their fifth successive title, but Souness predicts Rangers will give Ronny Deilas side a much closer examination than they managed in last years League Cup semi-final. Graeme Souness led Rangers to glory on and off the park Then a Gers team led by caretaker boss Kenny McDowall seemed relieved to escape Hampden after suffering just a 2-0 defeat.Celtic obviously start as the big favourites, Souness said at a press conference promoting Sundays semi-final.They play in the top league. The challenge for Rangers is to turn up and make a game of it. They didnt do that last year. Its the biggest derby Ive been involved in. The Liverpool-Everton one is a friendly derby. The Galatasaray one with Fenerbahce is a big game but it still doesnt come near this one. Graeme Souness Anything can happen in derbies but Celtic must start as the outstanding favourites. I want Rangers to do themselves justice.I would hope it would be closer this time. Rangers are better than they were last year. Are Celtic? Im not sure. Rangers certainly are but I dont think that means they are going to turn up and have an easy game.It will be difficult because Celtic are used to playing against better players every week, they are used to moving the ball quicker, having a quicker thought process. But its a derby game and Rangers have a big chance. This is not a foregone conclusion.Watch the Glasgow derby on Sky Sports 2 HD from 11am this Sunday.By purchasing a Sky Sports Day Pass for £6.99 or Sky Sports Week Pass for £10.99, you can enjoy access to all seven Sky Sports channels and watch on a TV with a NOW TV Box or on a range of devices. But that changed when he committed a five-minute major penalty and helped pave the way for a comeback by the Philadelphia Flyers. Vincent Lecavalier scored at 2:45 of overtime and the Flyers rallied from a two-goal deficit for a 5-4 victory on Sunday. A Kansas City, Missouri, station responded with plans to play the Grammy-winning track every hour from 7 a. http://www.redsoxapparelsshop.com/allen-craig-jersey-c-26/ . Kevin Martin and Kevin Love paced the Timberwolves like they do so often. Martin had 27 points with some key baskets down the stretch, Love had his usual double-double, and the Timberwolves snapped a three-game losing streak with a 112-106 victory Saturday night over the suddenly slipping Dallas Mavericks.CINCINNATI - Andy Dalton practiced some drop kicks in shorts before the game, the most activity he got all night. And he was in the majority when it came to spending time standing around. Running back Jeremy Hill didnt have it nearly so easy. The rookie ran for 70 yards and was Cincinnatis top receiver as well on Thursday night, leading the Bengals to a 35-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in a game devoid of starters. Dalton and Colts quarterback Andrew Luck sat out, as did most of the starters for both teams. Dalton didnt even pull up his black socks, leaving them around his ankles on an 85-degree evening — he knew there was no point. Hill, a second-round pick who backs up Giovani Bernard, carried 20 times and had a team-high six catches for 70 yards. He hurt his right elbow late in the first half but returned. The Bengals were thin at running back, so Hill knew he was going to play most of the game. "I put myself in position for whatever role I might be needed in," Hill said. Coach Marvin Lewis hopes to use Bernard and Hill a lot in a revitalized running game. "Jeremy got to understand what its like to be an NFL running back," Lewis said. "Were not five deep. If hes going to be that guy, hes going to have to shoulder the load." Hill turned a short pass into a 41-yard gain, showing how hell give the Bengals another receiving option out of the backfield. "We came into tonight knowing that he was going to get the ball," said Jason Campbell, who was 13 of 16 for 123 yards. "We just wanted him to get into a rhythm and get the feel of what its like. He runs hard. What I was proudest of was he was able to catch that screen pass and get some yardage." Cincinnati (2-2) pulled off three big plays in the second half against the backups of the Colts (0-4). Dane Sanzenbacher returned a punt 77 yards for a touchdown. Safety Danieal Manning intercepted Chandler Harnishs pass and ran it back 33 yards for a score. Cobi Hamilton turnned a short catch into a 50-yard TD. Dustin Pedroia Red Sox Jersey. End Margus Hunt had three sacks, completing a preseason that saw him emerge as an important component in the Bengals line rotation. "Hes just continued to strive and push hard and get better," Lewis said. "He should dominate in a game like this and he did." Harnish played the entire game and went 13 of 24 for 102 yards with five sacks. He threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to DaRick Rogers, who kicked the ball in celebration and was penalized. Colts linebacker Robert Mathis didnt play, heading quietly into his four-game suspension. Mathis was suspended for breaking the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances and cant be with the team for the next month. He said he took a fertility drug to help his wife get pregnant. Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict sat out a day after he signed a three-year contract extension that will pay him a maximum $20.05 million through 2017. Burfict strained his right hamstring on Sunday during a preseason game in Arizona. The game drew 42,020 fans — leaving more than 23,000 empty seats — and was sloppy with so many backups on the field. On one play, Harnish overthrew receiver Donte Moncrief so badly that the ball flew behind the helmet of Rogers, who was getting ready to block on the play. The Colts had a fourth-and-2 at the Cincinnati 10-yard line and went for it, only to have Zurlon Tipton tackled in the backfield. Notes: Colts G Joe Reitz hurt his left ankle in the first quarter. X-rays were negative. The injury was diagnosed as a high ankle sprain. ... LB Andrew Jackson hurt his right ankle/foot in the closing minutes and had to be helped off. ... Bengals LB Sean Porter suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter, Cincinnatis only setback. ... LB J.K. Schaffer (concussion) and CB Lavelle Westbrooks (thumb) cleared waivers and reverted to Cincinnatis injured reserve list. ___ Online: AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Chan and Virtue and Moir also led Canada to silver in the inaugural team event at the Sochi Olympics. Chan was beaten by Yuzuru Hanyu at Sochi. Olympian Kevin Reynolds, who was 15th at the games, will lead Canadas three-man singles team at the event in Saitama from March 24-30. Virtue and Moir are expected to retire. They came second to Americans Meryl Davis and Charlie White at Sochi. Both of Canadas women from the Sochi Games are entered in the worlds: Kaetlyn Osmond, 13th at Sochi, and Gabrielle Daleman, 17th. BOSTON -- David Krejci thought there were a few seconds left before overtime. He was surprised when he saw how close it was. Krejci tipped in a shot with eight-tenths of a second left in the third period to lift the Boston Bruins to a 2-1 win over San Jose on Thursday night, sending the Sharks to their first regulation loss of the season. "Actually I thought there might be more than 10 seconds, maybe 15, 20 seconds left," he said, breaking into a smile. "Then we scored it Luc (Milan Lucic) said Look up. I looked up and it was .8. It was even sweeter." Jarome Iginla scored his first goal with the Bruins (7-2) and goaltender Tuukka Rask was outstanding, making 38 saves. "I was pretty excited to get my first in a Bruins uniform and to get it at home, get it in a tough game, and to get it unexpectedly," Iginla said. "Its kind of like you throw it at the net and Wow. That was cool. Its been a while. You always hope its coming." The Sharks dominated the Bruins for most of the night until Krejci sent the fans to the streets happy, looking to watch the end of the Red Sox World Series game about 3 miles away. Patrick Marleau had San Joses goal, his eighth of the season. Antti Niemi stopped 15 shots. Krejci, positioned in the slot, tipped defenceman Adam McQuaids shot from the point between Niemis pads for the game-winner. "There was a guy in front, so I thought just to watch the puck and I thought I had it, but he tipped it kind of back the same way where I was coming from," Niemi said. "Yeah, tough way to lose with just a little bit left in the game." The Sharks (8-1-1) tied the game at 1-all on the opening shift of the third period when Marleau swooped in from the left wing, slipping a rebound past Rask 18 seconds into the period. Seconds later, Rask came across the crease and made a blocker save on Tomas Hertl at the end of a 2-on-1 break. The Sharks kept up the pressure with a flurry of shots over the next 2 1/2 minutes. "I looked up at the clock and was happy there was .8 ," Boston coach Claude Julien said. The Bruins had an excellent chance with 2 1/2 minutes left in regulation when Niemi dropped to make a pad save on Krejcis bid from in close. Rasks play kept Boston in this game. "Their goalie played well tonnight and made a lot of key saves for them," Marleau said. Kevin King Packers Jersey. Iginla had given Boston a 1-0 lead with 1:12 left in the second when he collected the rebound of Dennis Seidenbergs shot near the bottom of the right circle, firing a shot that trickled into the net after hitting Niemis right pad and slipping between his legs. Signed to a one-year free-agent deal that could earn him as much as $6 million with incentives, Iginla had a big smile on his face as he went over to the bench to accept congratulations from his teammates. The 36-year old winger vetoed a trade that would have sent him to the Bruins when they had a deal in place at last seasons trading deadline. He ended up accepting a deal to Pittsburgh, which was swept in the Eastern Conference finals by Boston last spring. Niemi had robbed Patrice Bergeron about 2 minutes before Iginlas goal when he came across the crease to make a glove stop at the end of a 2-on-1 break. Bruins winger Shawn Thornton unloaded a slap shot that caromed off the left post 3 minutes into the second. The Bruins played the first period like many of their fans from the slimmed-down crowd -- like they had something else on their minds. With the Red Sox hosting Game 2 of the at Fenway Park, there were a decent number of empty seats despite the clubs 170th straight sellout of TD Garden. The arena, which was less than a third full about 10 minutes before game time, ended up being only about three-quarters filled, with many open seats in the club and lower sections. San Jose outshot Boston 16-3 in the opening period -- at times, controlling the puck for lengthy stretches in the Bruins zone. NOTES: Bostons GM Peter Chiarelli said in a statement before the game that winger Loui Eriksson was "diagnosed with a concussion and will be out indefinitely" after a hit on Wednesday from Buffalos enforcer John Scott, who was issued a match penalty for charging. Scott was suspended indefinitely by the NHL on Thursday. It ended Erikssons streak of consecutive games played at 148. ... It was the Sharks second game of a season-long five-game road trip. They also play at Montreal, Ottawa and the Los Angeles Kings before returning home to face Phoenix on Nov. 2. ... CLEVELAND -- Yan Gomes didnt need long to prove to the Indians he was worth keeping around for a while. David Legwand Senators Jersey . Following a breakout season in 2013, the catcher has agreed to terms with Cleveland on a multiyear contract, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press on Saturday. Gomes batted .294 with 11 homers and 38 RBIs in 88 games last season, his first with the Indians. He must pass a physical for the deal to be finalized, the person said on condition of anonymity because there are still details to be worked out. FOXSports.com first reported the $23 million, six-year deal, which includes two club options. Gomes is not expected to sign the contract until the Indians return home following their season-opening series in Oakland. The 26-year-old Gomes -- the first Brazilian-born player in the majors -- began last season at Triple-A Columbus, but after being brought up in April he stayed the rest of the year and was a major contributor as the Indians made the playoffs for the first time since 2007. In addition to providing power to Clevelands lineup, Gomes was a defensive dynamo behind the plate. He threw out 38 per cent (18 of 47) of potential base stealers and did a nice job handling the pitching staff. The Indians went 49-30 when Gomes started, and his emergence prompted the club to move Carlos Santana to third base this spring. Santana is expected to back up Gomes, play some third and also DH. During Clevelands late-season playoff push, Gomes batted .309 in September. He hit .296 overall with runners in scoring position. The move was a bit surprising because the club has been focused this spring on securing a long-term deal with No. 1 starter Justin Masterson. Talks with the right-hander were recently put on hold, and the Indians have also had discussions with All-Star second baseman Jason Kipnis on a long-term deal. At the beginning of camp, the team signed outfielder Michael Brantley to a four-year, $25 million contract. The Indians acquired Gomes and infielder Mike Aviles before last season in a trade with Toronto for right-hander Esmil Rogers. Logan Brown Senators Jersey . Sweeting scored two in the first and three in the second before Strong (4-4) got two back in the fourth. Sweeting then scored three in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh to grab a commanding 9-2 lead. Senators Jersey . Alen, 28, hit .315 with five home runs, 59 RBI and a career-high nine stolen bases for the Goldeyes last season. He is the longest serving catcher in Goldeyes history, having already spent five seasons with the organization. http://www.hockeysenatorsonline.us/mark-stone-hockey-jersey/ . Duhamel, from Lively, Ont., and Radford, from Balmertown, Ont., were third with 210.84 points. Teammates Kirsten Moore-Towers of St. Catharines, Ont., and Dylan Moscovitch of Toronto were fourth. Duhamel and Radford, who were seventh at the Sochi Olympics, also won bronze at last years world championships in London, Ont.MONTREAL - Usually, David Krejci is piling up points in the post-season, but not this year. The Boston Bruins top-line centre had no goals and only three assists through the first 10 playoff games. Like Max Pacioretty on the opposing Montreal Canadiens, he is starting to feel some heat for his lack of production. "It feels like its right there," Krejci said Monday as the Bruins prepared for a crack at eliminating Montreal in Game 6 of their NHL Eastern Conference semifinal. "We have to start putting the puck in the net more often. "My linemates (Milan Lucic and Jarome Iginla) have been doing a pretty good job at it. Theyve been great for me the whole year, so I want to return the favour and try to be better for them." Krejci led the playoffs in scoring with nine goals and 26 points in 22 games a year ago, when the Bruins lost to Chicago in the Stanley Cup final. He also went on a tear when Boston won the Cup in 2011 with 23 playoff points. But while Lucic had a decent three goals and four assists and Iginla scored four times and added two helpers, little has been happening for the guy who normally is the playmaker on the top unit. Other than, as usual, winning well over half of his faceoffs. "I believe my time is about to come and Im going to be big for my team," he said. "I owe it to these guys. "I know we dont live in the past. But Ive been in the position before were I know I can be the player, so Im trying to stay positive. Go out and work hard. My teammates have been doing a good job of winning hockey games, so I believe my time is just around the corner." Second-line centre Patrice Bergeron and the third line centred by Carl Soderberg were the main offensive threats for the Bruins. Krejci hassnt been helped by the opponents Boston has faced. Craig Anderson Jersey. Both Montreal and Detroit are quick, skating teams that relay more on puck pressure than physical play. Krejci has struggled against the Canadiens in the past. Coach Claude Julien wasnt surprised to hear that Krejci feels indebted to his teammates. "Hes just a character guy," said Julien. "Hes demanding of himself and hes been a good player for us all year." Krejci was the first player on the ice for their game-day skate, but said he wasnt making any point. "At this time, when youre in a little slump like I am, then you have to work on your game and Ive been trying to do that," he said. "Like I said, I owe it to these guys, so I want to come up big for them." As he did ahead of Game 4, a 1-0 overtime win for Boston at the Bell Centre, Julien played around with his lines at the skate. They were expected to be back to normal by puck-drop. The Canadiens, who skated at their practice rink in Brossard, Que., caused a stir with broad hints that rookie Nathan Beaulieu would start on defence in place of Douglas Murray. Coach Michel Therrien kept his starting lineup to himself, however. "Its been good to be around the group," said Beaulieu, who has been practising with the main group in recent days. "Playoff hockey, it doesnt get any bigger than that, and it doesnt get any bigger than Montreal." It will be the first game since the incident at the end of Game 5 in which Bruins forward Shawn Thornton squirted water from the bench onto P.K. Subbans visor. Thornton was fined by the NHL for unsportsmanlike conduct. Therrien said it may end up helping his team. "A lack of respect can sometimes serve as motivation," he said. Quarterback Drew Willy appeared to injure his throwing hand on the third last play of practice Thursday. BEREA, Ohio -- Browns owner Jimmy Haslam understands the situation looks bad, even embarrassing. He bungled his first NFL coaching hire and cant afford to make another mistake. Haslam vowed it will be different this time. It has to be. A day after firing Rob Chudzinski for failing to make the Browns better in just one season, Haslam explained his reasons on Monday for the shocking move when he was forced to answer some tough questions, including one from a fan who wondered if the "Three Stooges" were running his team. "We understand the importance of continuity," Haslam said. "But I think its really important to hear this: We also understand the importance of getting it right." The Browns dumped Chudzinski on Sunday night, just hours after a 20-7 loss in Pittsburgh and less than a year after he was brought in to turn around a team that cant seem to get out of its own way. Haslam and CEO Joe Banner cited an overall lack of progress in their decision to dismiss Chudzinski, who had the Browns at 4-5 before they lost their final seven games and finished 4-12 -- the clubs sixth straight season with at least 10 losses. Banner said the decision was finalized Saturday. "As unpopular and undesirable as it is to sit here and acknowledge we didnt get it right, the fact that were making a change makes a statement that were not going to accept not being successful," Banner said. Haslam knows there are skeptics wondering if this Browns regime has what it takes to transform a foundering franchise. Cleveland fans have spent years hearing broken promises and plans that go astray. Haslam, though, is committed to making good on his word to bring sustained success to the Browns. "There will be a lot of people who say we should have given this staff a second year, a second chance," Haslam said. "And in our estimation, it was best to go ahead and make the change and try to get it right so that we can move forward and candidly, and most importantly, give the fans here the kind of winner they deserve." Banner and Haslam have begun their search for Chudzinskis replacement. Banner said the team is still deciding whether to interview Browns defensive co-ordinator Ray Horton for the opening. Horton interviewed with the Browns last season before the job went to Chudzinski, a lifelong Browns fan who was caught off guard by his ouster. Banner said none of the other candidates intterviewed last year will be considered again. Jason Demers Panthers Jersey Authentic. That would appear to rule out Penn State coach Bill OBrien and San Diego offensive co-ordinator Ken Whisenhunt. New England offensive co-ordinator Josh McDaniels could be the frontrunner to be Clevelands seventh full-time coach since 1999 because of his relationship with Browns general manager Michael Lombardi. The team requested permission to interview McDaniels as well as Seattle defensive co-ordinator Dan Quinn and Denver offensive co-ordinator Adam Gase. The Browns are also expected to interview Arizona defensive co-ordinator Todd Bowles, who previously worked as an assistant on Butch Davis staff in Cleveland. Haslam knows its imperative to stop the constant turnover. The Browns have changed coaches four times in six years. "We have to prove to you all well get the right guy," Haslam said. "Were confident we can do that. But until that individual comes in here and wins football games, talk is cheap. So actions speak loud." The Browns do have a more attractive situation to lure a prospective coach than they did a year ago. Cleveland had five Pro Bowl players this season, the team has two first-round picks in Mays draft and theres plenty of salary cap room to sign free agents. "This is the crucial off-season for the Cleveland Browns," Haslam said. "If we get that right, well have a lot of positive press conferences. We feel a lot of pressure to get this right for our players, our fans and the city of Cleveland." Chudzinski was told of his firing shortly after the team returned by bus from Pittsburgh. "I was shocked and disappointed to hear the news that I was fired," Chudzinski said in a statement released by the Browns. "I am a Cleveland Brown to the core, and always will be. ... While clearly I would have liked to see the long-term vision through to the end, I am very grateful to Jimmy Haslam and the Haslam family for letting me live my dream." Chudzinski has three years left on his contract worth a reported $10 million. He was emotional as he said goodbye to his players. "Its unfortunate," wide receiver Josh Gordon said. "I cant say whats fair, whats not fair. The NFL, its the business of the league. But I thought he would have more time than that. "I figured any coach in the NFL would get at least two years. I didnt even know that was possible." Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys Jerseys From China Wholesale NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

Rome, Italy (SportsNetwork. Takkarist McKinley Youth Jersey .com) - Marco Parolo netted a pair of second-half goals on Saturday, leading Lazio to a comfortable 3-1 win over AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. The hosts came into the match hoping to get out on the front foot quickly in front of the home crowd, but it was Milan that jumped out to the quick lead as former PSG man Jeremy Menez found the back of the net after just four minutes. But Lazio seized firm control of proceedings in the second half as Parolo pulled his side level in the 47th minute and German World Cup legend Miroslav Klose doubled the lead in the 51st minute with an outstanding volleyed effort. Paolo then completed his double with nine minutes to play as he fired home from inside the box thanks to a cheeky square pass from Filip Djordjevic. Things became heated as the clock struck 90 minutes as Milans Phillippe Mexes was shown a straight red card as a result of a reaction following a foul by Lazios Stefano Mauri. The fourth officials board showed seven minutes of added time, but with the visitors playing down a man and two goals, they were unable to create any threatening offensive sequences to suffer their sixth defeat of the season. MIAMI - During the dog days of the regular season, the Miami Heat often spoke about the need to not take any shortcuts on the way to the playoffs. Markus Naslund Canucks Jersey . And thats true. That doesnt mean they necessarily enjoyed the 82-game run-up to the best time of year. "None of us," Heat forward LeBron James finally confessed, "are here for the regular season." When this core of Heat players was assembled, the only stated goal was winning NBA titles, which also explains why even getting through the first two rounds of these playoffs basically unscathed only merited a short celebration. Miami is back in the Eastern Conference finals for the fourth straight season, and will visit Indiana in Game 1 on Sunday afternoon. The Heat got there by ousting the Brooklyn Nets in five games, the end of that series Wednesday night being briefly accompanied by a few hoots and hollers in the immediate moments after the clinching 96-94 win was completed. Before long, order was restored to the Heat locker room. Two series wins are nice, but they know the road only gets tougher from here. "Like LeBron said, to be in this position four years in a row, this is the reason we came together four years ago," Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. "Weve got a lot more work to do but were a team that doesnt take it for granted. Were a team that worked very hard to get to this point, so were going to go to the next round, the Eastern Conference finals and continue to do what weve done, play this game as hard as we can and try to continue to move forward." Indiana ousted Washington on Thursday night. The Heat and Pacers split four meetings in the regular season. "We know what Indianas capable of," Heat forward Chris Bosh said. "Best defence in the league. Despite their struggles, we still see the same opponent in those guys as we did last year and throughout this year." The Heat are now 32-7 in first- and second-round games in the last four postseasons, that stretch coinciding with the start of the "Big 3" era featuring James, Wade and Bosh teaming up in Miami. That first year, even that star-studded trio wasnt enough. More pieces were added, like Shane Battier a year later and Ray Allen two years later, and theyve all paid dividends since. Allen kept coming up big at big times in the Brooklyn series, hitting clutch free throws to seal Game 4 and then knocking down a 3-pointer with 32 seconds left to put Miami ahead for good in Game 5. Never mind that Allen had missed 11 of his last 12 3-point tries in the series. Just like last year when he saved Miamis season with the legendary desperation 3-pointer in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against San Antonio, when the stakes were highest, Allen came through. "We did what we needed to do, when we had to do it," Allen said. "Total team effort." Miami had trailed for the entire second half of Game 5 against the Nets until that 3-pointer by Allen, a shot set up by Mario Chalmers seeing that Brooklyns Shaun Livingston was charging at him and somehow leaving the best long-range shooter in the history of the game wide open. That was the only break Miami needed. "The most important thing is to stay in the moment," Battier said. "And I dont there is anyone maybe in the history of the game who does it better than Ray Allen." Added Chalmers: "Thats a great option when you know you have the all-time greatest 3-point shooter to your left." A year ago, the Heat needed seven games to beat Indiana in the East finals, then seven more to top San Antonio for their second straight NBA title. Thursday was a rest day for Miami, maybe one of the last ones the Heat will truly have before the season ends. On Friday, the real work starts in earnest. "We still have some business to take care of," James said. "But its great to be able to put ourselves in position to get to where we want to go. We never shortcut the process. We understand that each and every game is going to be a challenge for us." Daniel Sedin Canucks Jersey .Mack, a reserve guard who came in averaging 3.8 points, made all six of his 3-pointers as the Hawks went 16 for 28 from behind the arc.Trailing 50-38 midway through the second quarter, Atlanta outscored Cleveland 89-48 the rest of the way and sent the Cavaliers to their largest loss of the season. But on Wednesday night, Wright hit a 3-pointer with 7.9 seconds left and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the late-charging Sacramento Kings 100-99. The three points amounted to his final total. "That was pretty cool right there," the nine-year NBA veteran said after the game. "Especially since I was mad at myself for not making my shots the whole game." Ray McCallum missed a 21-foot jumper as time ran out for the Kings and Portlands Robin Lopez grabbed the rebound and held it tight for the victory. LaMarcus Aldridge had 22 points to lead the Blazers, who have won six of their past seven games. "It was an exciting way to win a game," Blazers coach Terry Stotts said. "Dorell picked a good time to make his shot." Portland, which has missed the playoffs for the past two seasons, clinched a post-season berth with a 100-94 victory over New Orleans on Sunday. The Blazers were fifth in the Western Conference with three games left. DeMarcus Cousins had 30 points and 12 rebounds for the Kings, who were without injured guard Rudy Gay. Sacramento has lost four straight and sit near the bottom of the conference in front of the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah. Sacramento trailed by as many as 15 points late in the first half, but the Kings pressured the Blazers in the second and tied it at 84 on McCallums 3-pointer with 8:17 left in the game. Damian Lillards 3-pointer put Portland up 91-86, but Cousins layup tied it again at 93 with 3:12 left. Aldridge dunked, but Travis Outlaws jumper tied it again before Cousins scored to make it 97-95 for the Kings with 1:31 left. It was Sacramentos first lead of the game. Lopez made two free throws for the Blazers to tie it at 97 with 42.3 seconds to go. Guard Isaiah Thomas missed his ninth straight game because of a right quad injury. Former Blazer Travis Outlaw got his fourth start of the season for the Kings. The Kings appeared worn out after playing the night before and Portland pulled away in the second quarter with a 10-0 run that made it 48-35. The Blazers extended the lead to as many as 15 points and went into the break with a 56-46 lead. But the Kings closed the gap to 68-65 on Jason Thompsons dunk midway through the third quarter. Cousins hook shot got Sacramento within 70-67. But Portland responded with a 9-0 run capped by Thomas Robinsons jumper to pull back ahead 79-67 before the quarter was over. Sacramento had a nine-point run to narrow it to 79-77 with 10:45 left. Lillard answered with a 3-pointer for the Blazers. "Were playing against great teams that are playing for something and its not like they arent giving it their all," McCallum said. "So to know that we can compete with some of these top teams should give us a lot of confidence." Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork. Duke Riley Falcons Jersey .com) - Jimmy Butler scored a career-high 35 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 103-97 win over the New York Knicks on Thursday night. Pau Gasol contributed 20 points with seven rebounds and Aaron Brooks added 18 points off the bench for Chicago, which played its ninth game of the season without star point guard Derrick Rose. Rose missed the contest with an illness and his status for Fridays game at Memphis is uncertain. The Bulls, who improved to 5-4 without Rose this season, have won four of their last five games overall. New York, meanwhile, was without leading scorer Carmelo Anthony, who missed the game to rest his sore left knee. Tim Hardaway Jr. picked up the slack to lead the Knicks with 23 points, while Amare Stoudemire chipped in with 16 points and six rebounds. New York has lost seven straight at the United Center and three straight overall, as well as 13 of its last 14 games. Pablo Prigioni hit a 3-pointer to give the visitors a 77-75 lead early in the fourth, then Chicago netted 12 straight to regain control. Brooks and Nikola Mirotic each hit a 3 to bookend the spurt that helped the Bulls to an 87-77 advantage with 7:30 to play. New York responded, however, with a 12-3 run that brought it within one after Stoudemires basket. Chicago pushed the margin to five, then Stoudemire again made it a one-point game moments later with a jumper. Brooks followed with a crisp pass underneath to Gasol, who converted the layup for a 100-97 lead with 52.9 seconds left. Joakim Noah, who missed the previous four games with a sprained right ankle, and Gasol each pulled down critical offensive rebounds in the closing seconds to secure the win for the Bulls. Noah finished with a game-high 13 boards. Chicago led by three late in the first when Brooks came off the bench and knocked down a 3-pointer that started a 9-2 run to end the quarter. Butlers jumper capped the burst and gave the Bulls a 30-20 lead entering the second. New York held Chicago scoreless for just over three minutes in midway through the second, but it managed to trim the margin to just five after Jason Smiths free throw. A Butler steal led to a Kirk Hinrich layup in transition that quelled the little drought. Hinrich then buried a trey before Mirotic dialed one in from deep to stretch the lead to 48-37 with 3:09 remaining in the half. Hardaways putback late in the frame cut the deficit to 52-45 at the break. The Knicks ended up grabbing a 74-73 edge at the end of three quarters. Moments later, Lucas set up another goal from the right when fellow countryman Alex turned in his corner with a strikers finish. DENVER -- Chris Owings has been in a little bit of an offensive funk. Leave it to hitting friendly Coors Field to snap him right out of it. Leave it to this park to get the entire Arizona lineup revved up. Owings, Paul Goldschmidt and Miguel Montero homered as the Diamondbacks reached double-digits against the Colorado Rockies again, completing a sweep with a 12-7 win Thursday night. Arizona took all three games at Coors Field for the first time since April 2008. This series was quite an offensive display by the Diamondbacks, too, as they scored 32 runs and collected 48 hits over the three games. "(This) happens every other week here, doesnt it?" Bronson Arroyo said. "Doesnt usually happen to those guys, though. We just happened to put all the runs on the board this time." Even Arroyo (5-4) pitched differently in this park. He went with fastballs 60 per cent of the time -- something the 37-year-old usually doesnt do. But hey, this quirky park sometimes calls for an unorthodox approach. "I threw an offbeat game," said Arroyo, who allowed four runs and six hits in 6 1-3 innings. The Rockies were once again off their game as they lost their seventh straight. Its their longest skid since losing nine in a row late in the 2012 season. "We come to play every single day," said Troy Tulowitzki, who had a homer and a double. "Its just not happening right now. A night after the Diamondbacks put up 16 runs, they pounded Rockies starter Juan Nicasio (5-4). The right-hander struggled with his command, allowing a season-high seven runs in 5 1-3 innings. Manager Walt Weiss called a team meeting before the game, just so he could check in with his team during this horrendous stretch. He said there are "no magic words in this game or magic words for success." Is this rock bottom? "I dont know," Weiss said. "We have a game tomorrow. Well try to win a game tomorrow." The top five hitters in the Diamondbacks lineup -- Gerardo Parra, Owings, Goldschmidt, Montero and Martin Prado -- feasted on Rockies pitching, going a combined 13 for 24 with nine RBIs. "I know weve got a good hitting ball club. I knnow that," Montero said. Takkarist McKinley Falcons Jersey. "We showed it the last couple of games." Did they ever. According to the Diamondbacks, its just the second time the team has had back-to-back games with 18 or more hits. Its only the fifth time theyve scored 12 or more runs in two straight. "You hear stuff about Coors Field coming up through the minors leagues," said Owings, who finished 3 for 5 with four RBIs. "You watch a lot of games here, see a lot of runs scored. But I wouldnt say that plays into anything you do differently here. You hit the ball hard. "The ball might do some different things here." Owings had a two-run homer in the eighth that gave Arizona a 9-6 lead. The cushion was valuable at the time as Rockies pinch hitter Brandon Barnes hit an inside-the-park homer in the bottom of the inning, when the ball sailed over the head of centre fielder Ender Inciarte, hit off the base of the wall and caromed away. It was the 14th inside-the-park homer in Rockies history and first since Eric Young Jr. had one on Aug. 8, 2012, in Los Angeles. Arizona added to its lead in the ninth with three more runs. Inciarte ended the game by making a leaping catch at the wall on Wilin Rosarios deep drive. Arroyo had a 7-3 lead heading into the seventh inning, when he ran into trouble. A usually reliable bullpen struggled, too. The Rockies scored three times on RBI singles from Drew Stubbs, Michael Cuddyer and Corey Dickerson. With the bases loaded and two outs, Oliver Perez was brought in to face pinch hitter Justin Morneau, who grounded out to third to end the rally. "That was huge," Arroyo said. "He came in and gave us that one out we needed and really broke the game open for us." But yeah, I have no plans along those lines. Even if he is shooting 38 per cent from the field overall this season, the Utah Jazz rookie always feels like his final shot is going in. "I still have confidence and believe I can make the big shot," Burke said. The rookie point guard scored 17 points, including a high-arcing 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds remaining, to push the Jazz past the Orlando Magic 89-88 on Saturday night. With the Jazz trailing 88-86, Gordon Hayward dribbled through the centre of the Magic defence and found Burke in the corner. The decisive basket snapped Utahs six-game losing streak and extended Orlandos skid to eight games. "I had an ugly game, turned over the ball a couple of times and felt like I really needed to make it," Burke said. Down the stretch, the game turned into a battle between Burke and Victor Oladipo, two rookies drafted in the top 10 of last summers draft. Oladipo, the second selection, scored 19 points for the Magic. He made a jumper and then added two free throws with 21 seconds to play to give Orlando an 85-82 lead. Hayward, who had 14 points, made two free throws and then assisted Derrick Favours and Burke for the game-winner, all in the final 20 seconds. "They understood the pace. Gordon made a great pass to Trey in the corner, and he made the shot. Its great to see the young guys show a lot of character. We could have fell apart there," Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said. Despite his overall inaccuracy, Burke is 15 for 26 from beyond the arc in the final five minutes of closely contested games (within five points) this season. Richard Jefferson scored 17 of his 21 points in the first quarter and Favours, Enes Kanter and Diante Garrett all scored 11 for the Jazz. Aaron Afflalo scored 19 points for the Magic. He made three free throws in the final 20 seconds but his miss with 12 seconds left opened the door for Burke. Favors knocked the inbounds pass away after Burkes shot, leaving just 0.4 seconds on the clock. The Magic inbounded to Afflalo, who missed a desperation 26-footer that may have left his hands after the buzzer sounded anyway. At times, it seemed neither team wanted to win. There was no exceptional defence on display but both squads struggled to hit open shots, neither topping 40 per cent from the field. Burke, who was taken ninth and had some battles with Oladipo in college, saved his best for last. Anthony Gose Tigers Jersey. . He was embarrassed on a couple of Oladipos drives to the hoop earlier in the game and made only five of his 15 shots. Just as he did at Michigan as the consensus national player of the year, Burke showed hes not afraid to take the big shot with two 3-pointers in the final three minutes. "Its a shot I work on a lot, specifically in that corner, and it fell for me," Burke said. Oladipo, meanwhile, also struggled with his shot, going 5 for 14. But had a far better performance than his three points while shooting a season-worst 1 of 12 in the 86-82 loss at Orlando in this seasons first matchup on Dec. 18. "Trey made a tough shot at the end but I did a great job of contesting it. Hes been big with big shots like that for a long time," Oladipo said. "We both are going to continue to get better. Theres definitely going to be more interesting games down the road in our careers." The Magic are 4-23 against Western Conference teams, including 0-14 on the road. Jefferson made four 3-pointers and had 17 points in the first quarter to spark the Jazz to lead by as many as 14 points in the first half before the Magic cut it to 49-43 at halftime. The Jazz have won seven in a row against the Magic, one of the few teams they can consistently beat these days. Orlando came along just at the right time for the Jazz, who had dropped 11 of 12, including six straight by an average of 14.0 points. The teams ineptitude was on full display even as the game was up for grabs. During a five-minute stretch spanning the third and fourth quarters, the teams combined for 12 empty offensive possessions. Jameer Nelson rested his sore left knee for the second straight game, giving Oladipo more opportunity to play. But the Magic were absent one more playmaker when they needed to make just one more play. Notes: The Jazz honoured the franchises first playoff team, which featured scorers Adrian Dantley and Darrell Griffith, Rickey Green and shot blocker Mark Eaton. The 1983-84 squad won Utahs first division title and advanced to the Western Conference semifinals after years of futility. ... Utahs Alec Burks missed the game with a sprained left ankle. The third-year guard is averaging 13.8 points, second on the team.
